5 Things I Didn’t Expect When I Published Every Day on Medium

I wish I started sooner

I’ve been writing on Medium for quite a while now and yet, I feel like I’m only now considering myself a Medium writer.

The shift happened slowly and then all at once when I decided to follow the idea that you have to actually publish every single day to see some changes.

Armed with a pen, notebook and my trusty laptop, this is exactly what I did.

For three weeks straight.

I was so scared at first, because as much as I love writing — and I love it probably more than anything else in the world — I genuinely thought that writing every day meant I would run out of ideas pretty quickly.

But I didn’t.

Somehow, I managed to write consistently for three weeks and not only that, I published every day, five days a week, Monday to Friday.

I set some routines and my earphones became my very best friends — paired with classical dark music which is, surprisingly, what keeps me going.

Allured by the promise of a Medium bonus, I wanted to prove and challenge myself to something new, something I wouldn’t think I liked, and yet.
