Hi, I’m Marilù, a professional overthinker, part-time introvert, and full-time lover of books, cozy weather, and oversized jumpers that double as emotional armor.

I write about modern relationships, being single in your 30s, friendship breakups, bad texting etiquette, and whatever else my therapist and I are unpacking that week. Sometimes I’m very insightful. Sometimes I eat cereal in bed and call it character development.

You may have seen my work floating around Medium publications (I’ve written for a bunch), and I’ve been featured in Thought Catalog, which my teenage self would’ve screamed over. I also run a very fun, mildly chaotic newsletter where I talk about books, but not in a snooty, monocle wearing literature professor kind of way. More like "what does Mr. Darcy look like on antidepressants" kind of way.

Virginia Woolf once said a woman needs a room of her own and honestly, she was so right! I built mine. It’s filled with books, warm lighting, and that “I’m not going out tonight” energy. It’s my very own version of the Sunnydale library, minus the vampires, but definitely with a few demons (emotional, mostly).

I love writing when I’m not in a dramatic standoff with writer’s block. But when the words do come, they come with heart, humor, wit and the occasional Taylor Swift reference.

If you’re a fellow 30-something trying to navigate modern love, identity, and adulthood without screaming into the void too often: hi. You’ve found your people.

Let’s overanalyze life (and text messages) together.

Writing about relationships, dating, pop-culture for the semi-sentimental. Might quote Virginia Woolf and Carry Bradshaw in the same sentence.
